Morning Update

Actually, probably more like late evening update by the time I get around to posting this but, you know.

Did a bit more writing last night and while I wasn't able to close out any scenes I did manage to pile on the word count. I'm up to nearly 6k now. Hated Soluna, though, is already past 12k. There's something not quite right with her. Need to figure out how to put one of those fancy word counting graphical display aps up but I'm not going to bother at the moment because it would suck up some much needed bandwidth.

If you checked at all yesterday, you'd know that the NaNo site was running extremely slow yesterday although I stuck it out. The reason why is easy to guess. The broke person's donation, Good Search, also briefly screeched to a halt thanks to the crush. It should be even worse today as the influx of newcomers and returnees hits its crest. Then drop off over the next few weeks as they're weeded out.

Today, though, I'm really out of it. Just not motivated at all. I'm about to hop in the car and take the trip back home, spend a last afternoon with my old dog. And it's starting to get to me. I'm drained. Drained from writing. Drained from a sleepless night spent tossing and turning. Drained from feeling so much for so long.

So, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get done today. And I'm sure tomorrow I'll be in even worse shape. Is it wrong that I just want this to be over?
