And That's All
We've decided. we're keeping the appointment. We don't want to. But she's not going to get better. She's just going to continue to get worse. And worse. And worse. Until we have no choice. So, we're not going to drag our waiting or her suffering out. Better to do it now, after she's had a day of treats and pampering, than to wait until her body completely fails and she's struggling and whimpering in pain, begging us to end it for her. Better it didn't have to happen at all but if it's to be done, best it be done quick. Now begins the death watch. The long wait for the hour and then for the minute hand to move. Slicing away the last seconds of her life with every tick. It's going to be a long wait. And an even longer walk into the vet's.
