Let's Play A Game!
Time to play Guess Who's Quote?
“This is really absurd. We’re approaching five years now of this exercise in futility."
No, not Harry Reid. Nope, not even Michael Moore.
Nope, that's Feisal Amin al-Istrabadi, one of Iraq's UN delegates. And he was talking not about the increasingly futile war for....whatever it is we're fighting for in Iraq. No, he was talking about the fact that we're still rooting around in the sand trying to find Saddam's non-existent cache of weapons.
Un-freaking believable. We've spent five years hunting for WMDs because no one's been willing to say it's a waste of time. Kind of says it all, doesn't it?
Sanity can still reassert itself, however, as it looks like those oh-so useful inspections just might be ending. (Behind the subscription wall but here's a post about it at TPM.)
