The Dismissed Prosecutor Scandal Heats Up
One of the many quirks about Mr. Bush is that he tends to bluff the hardest when he's holding his weakest hand. So when he gives a press conference this stand-offish, you know there's serious trouble brewing. The main talking point seemed to have been that the dismissing the eight attorneys was proper because they served at the pleasure of the president. Well, perhaps that's true but let's not forget that, ultimately, it's the president who serves at the pleasure of the people.
