In Memoriam: Mike Wieringo

Mike Wieringo, the artist behind Tellos and Impulse passed away this weekend of a heart attack. He was 44. Way too young for such a talent to pass from this world.

I think the most frightening thing for any artist is to leave their stories untold. And that's exactly what's happened here as, from his comments over the past few weeks and months, Mr. Wieringo was happy and fully gearing up for another amazing work. His blog seems to have been crushed by the traffic flow as it's gone down from when I checked earlier in the day, but you can still see some examples and even a few fleeting words from a happier time (As well as some moving tributes in the comments section) at his Deviant Art page.
