Not So Random Thought on This Day

I'm not among those who'll criticize the President for using 9/11 to further his political ends. I happen to think that the only thing you can do with tragedy is use it. Be influenced, be inspired, be affected by it and to carry its lessons forward to further you own ends. If the only thing you can do with tragedy is to mark it off in an immaculate little box of sorrow and mourning, then it's worthless. I'd rather the bad times meant something by helping to create the good ones. What's outrageous to me, though, is how wrong Bush has been on the merits of his policies. And how he stubbornly refuses to admit any possibility that he's been wrong.
